Do you know about Etsy? I know I've mentioned it here before. It's like an online craft fair for all things homemade- from re-styled vintage clothes to jewelry to kid's clothes & toys to pottery. It's a great place to find that one-of-a kind gift for you or a loved one, and I love the idea of supporting someone's passion. It could totally make my list of 100 Things I'm Fond Of...hmmm, I sort of lost track of that. I'll have to get back to that this week. 4 lies revealed

I'm sure you've been on the edge of your seats awaiting this post. I'll put you out of your misery now, ok?

Badumdumdumdumdum (that's a drum-roll!)

1. I most definitely did not get accepted to Iowa on an archery scholarship. I don't believe I've ever even shot an arrow (or anything else, for that matter) And IS there such a thing as an archery scholarship? Hmmm...curious.

2. While my MOM may be able to use both hands to do a multitude of tasks, I, alas, cannot. I'm strictly a righty. My husband is a lefty, and we think Emerson is heading that way too. Pete, even at 5 months, is destined to be right handed. That's just the way he was designed.

3. I only have 1 tattoo, not 3. It's a very faded daisy on my left ankle that I got when I was 18. I'm not at a point where I regret getting it, which I consider to be an accomplishment.

4. I have NEVER crashed ANY car, mine or otherwise, into any goalposts on any football fields. But it makes for a funny visual, doesn't it? I DID rear-end a classmate the day after getting my license on the way out of the school parking lot (in a VERY identifiable convertible with wood siding on it while the top was down) while taking one Michael Plocinski home. But no harm, no foul, right Bethany Zimmerman?

I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue. I'm ambidextrous. I have 27 first cousins. I once received a BMW as a birthday present. I was accepted to Iowa on a archery scholarship. I have visited my grandpa's birthplace in Italy. I am an avid fan of Old Time Radio. I have 3 majors and 1 minor on my B.A. I have jumped over 3-ft. fences on horseback. I used to teach people how to scrapbook for a living. I have never been to Las Vegas. I have 3 tattoo's. I broke my tailbone when I was 12 and my rear is still numb. I have visited 9 countries, but not Canada or Mexico. I am allergic to beer. I have partied with Ashton Kutcher. I crashed the Driver's Ed car into the goal post on the practice field on the first day of behind-the-wheel in high school. My first cat lived to be 21 years old. I don't enjoy watching movies.

i fell off the face of the planet there a bit

Evening, all.

I was on such a posting roll and then last week happened. Miss E contracted hand, foot, and mouth virus, and that pretty much put the kibosh on everything, including her 3rd birthday party. Boo. The poor thing was so sick, she didn't even care that her party with her friends was cancelled. Thankfully, Pete hasn't gotten it, fingers still crossed, and it's over and done at our house. Double thankfully, we had a great party with the grandparents, Uncle Craig, and Emerson's bff Greta on Sunday. All was right with her little 3 year-old world, and that made this Mama very happy.
