Here are a few pix from our Easter weekend. Hope yours was fab!

I love the look of adoration on Pete’s sweet little (2 year old!) face. So sweet and innocent.

Pete and Emerson enjoyed their first-ever taste of Peeps, as Pete is telling you in this picture with Grandpa.

I LOVE this image of my carefree, disheveled girl. And I have to laugh at my single image of Em and Pete together after “the Hunt.” Oh well, at least we have the memories.

top 10 list

The following list is what I've been doing lately to keep myself entertained...

10. Drinking gallons of non-fat decaf mistos from the 'Bucks, laced with cinnamon and real sugar.

9. Reading scrapbook magazines, Disney travel blogs, and the Bible. {That last part is a lie but I keep telling myself that I WANT to read the Bible, so I'm counting it.}

8. Listening to podcasts about scrapbooking, Disney World, and the Bible {I do better with this one, but not by much.}

7. Speaking with my regular tone and inflections to Siri, and then peeing my pants in hysterics at the bizarre messages she sends out. I seriously don't send half of them but they make me cackle like a madwoman. M. K., I believe you were the recipient of one today :)

6. Running miles and miles to train for an upcoming 1/2 marathon.

5. Tickling Pete anywhere and everywhere, just to hear his wild giggles.

4. Spending countless hours Pinning and planning my dream life on Pinterest.

3. Spending entirely too much time rearranging maddening yellow tiles in Words With Friends.

2. Planning exciting ways to engage my 4th graders during this tough time of year to stay focused.

And Number Uno...

Spending loads of time with the Big and the Bug, soaking up the sunlight during this beatiful spring!

she is dear to me

I saw this quote on a blog that I follow, and it just hit me upside the head. I have one of those! And this quote is the perfect excuse to share some photos from, oh, the last 4 months of neglectful blogging. So, without further adieu, I present Miss Emerson B.

All tussled and rosy after a romp in the snow in January.

Sigh. I LOVE this kid.

she’s baaaaaack

It’s been such a long time that I fully expect to just use this as my own personal journal. And that’s just fine with me. As I was scrapbooking this weekend (for the first time since January…the  blog is not the ONLY thing that’s gone by the wayside with my return to teaching!), I realized how often I look back here when I’m doing my journaling to see what the everyday occurrences are with each passing month. And with that in mind, I’m going to get back to it.

First off, here’s a peek at the Big and the Bug. Em is now 4/5,and Pete just turned 2 in March. They are in a really joyful stage right now, and I’m relishing being their Mama.IMG_1177

Here’s a bit of randomness for you. I’m just starting a love affair with the chevron. Right now, I can’t get enough of this cheeky little pattern. From home décor to clothing to my scrapbook pages, I heart chevrons!
